Nina Enger

1961

Oslo, Norway

Nina’s inspiration transpires from many elements but the greatest being that of nature.

The depth and atmosphere of distant dark lonely cloud formations and Misty sunrises that all create a feeling of immense thought, reflection and optimism. “A sunrise is one of the most majestic spectacles we can ever witness. Its beauty is a powerful force, one capable of imparting its warmth on the most hardened of souls. It inspires, it energizes, it renews, it gives hope.

With many private collectors worldwide. Nina is indeed a respected talent to watch.

“There seems to be an urge to refine whatever is possible in the moment, whether it be a flowerbed in the garden, my home interior or a paragraph in an article. Working as a chemical engineer across Europe for many years did not leave me much time for my true passion. I am very grateful this time has eventually come.

“I am a self trained artist and I work from my home studio. Born in Drammen, Norway and now living in Oslo, close to a beautiful forest. My paintings tend to be dark and dramatic. No matter how hard I try to create a softer and lighter expression, there is an urge to add sharp contrasts to emphasize the wild and unpredictable nature of life.”

“The key message in my work is that we all have access to an inner unshakable essence. Painting and poetry writing helps me express this innermost part of me, and is an act of its own, but if it touches the innermost part of the observer it is all the more satisfying.”
